What You'll Do
As a Part-Time Coding Teacher, you will conduct engaging and age-appropriate coding lessons for primary school students from Primary 1 to Primary 6. You will help students develop computational thinking, creativity, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills through interactive and hands-on learning experiences.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and believe that coding is more than just learning technology — it is about nurturing confidence, curiosity, resilience and independent thinking through exploration and creation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Engaging Coding Lessons
- Plan and deliver coding lessons using age-appropriate platforms such as Scratch, block-based coding tools, robotics kits or other beginner-friendly technologies.
- Guide students through coding concepts step-by-step while encouraging exploration, experimentation and independent thinking.
- Ensure lessons are interactive, engaging and suitable for students of varying learning abilities.
Build Students’ Computational Thinking Skills
- Help students develop key coding concepts such as:
- Sequencing
- Loops
- Events
- Conditions
- Variables
- Debugging
- Pattern recognition
- Logical thinking
- Basic problem-solving
- Guide students in explaining their thought processes and reflecting on their learning experiences.
Facilitate Project-Based Learning
- Support students in creating simple coding projects such as games, animations, quizzes, interactive stories or basic app-style prototypes.
- Guide students through the process of planning, testing, improving and presenting their projects.
- Encourage creativity while helping students understand the importance of persistence and learning through trial and improvement.
